We spark student enthusiasm with creative learning methods through the Australian Guild of Music and Speach. From grade exams, to recording artist, the AGMS support our students with a structured pathway to grading and performance success. The extensive syllabi supports Australian composers and covers a variety instruments to meet the individual student goals. Including piano, guitar, vocal, saxophone, recording artist, ensemble and much more, these exams and performance opportunities can be accomplished in person or online. The syllabi meets the AMEB structure requirements.

Welcome to Jax Bee Music Studio! We believe music is a universal language, that builds cognitive ability, emotional intelligence and social bonds. Whether you are beginning your musical journey or looking to refine already developed skills, our dedicated team and flexible scheduling ensures music is easily integrated into your lifestyle. Our teaching methodology fosters practical strategies and frameworks from a variety of student-centered teaching philosophies to promote a progressive, goal driven and inclusive environment for all learning styles. By using common and adaptive education models which incorporate classical formalities and contemporary lifestyle, our studio will not just teach a student how to play an instrument but also the intellectual benefits and what it means to fall in love with mastering a new language and musical craft.

CONDUCT
Music is for life and enjoyed by everyone. As a condition of enrolment all students, parents, teachers, guardians are expected to behave in a manner that respects the studio, school and each other. Jax and the team reserve the right to suspend or terminate enrolment in the evento of any misconduct, disrespectful, unsafe behaviours and request the offending persons leave the premisis immediately.
Please arrive five minutes before your lesson time, there is a waiting area available where parents and guardians can remain during the lesson. Tardiness - if you are late for your lesson the time is forfeited and will not be extended by the teacher due to lesson time constraints.
SAFETY & WELLBEING
Parents are encouraged to attend the initial lesson and ongoing if the child requires specific attention.
ALL teachers hold a current Blue Card for working with children.
Students under the age of 12 are not to be left unattended. Parents and Guardians of children under 12 must remain close by to liaise or assist with the student lessons if required..
The teacher is not responsible for supervising the student after or before the allocated lesson time.
Due to the nature and longevity of a students progress, a safe rapport develops between the student and teacher, as such occassionally confidential information is shared by the student. If the discussion alerts the teacher to safety and wellbeing concerns this information will be directed to the appropriate authority chain for additional support or suitable external services.

Inclusion and equity are fundamental, every student can grow given the right ecosystem. Our teachers apply flexible teaching strategies and opportunities for any student with a physical or mental disability.
equipment and instrumentation
The student is responsible for their instrument. Unless specifically provided (eg piano) the student is to bring their own instrument and accessories to the lesson. Please bring lesson materials and a notebook to the lesson. The teacher may recommend resources and materials to compliment the students learning style.

Jax Bee Music School one to one lessons are conducted at BUZZ MUSIC SCHOOL and virtual online lessons.

Private Group Classes $120 / 60 min + $20/student for more than 3 students

Schedule
Lesson bookings are to be made on the BUZZ MUSIC SCHOOL booking portal. After enrolling you will be able to select a time in the calendar allocated to your weekly lesson. If you require fortnightly arrangement please contact us directly.
The schedule is aligned with the public school term. Public holidays and School Holidays the school will be closed unless alternative arrangements have been made with the teacher directly.
Payment & billing cycle
When enrolling, lesson bookings are automatically made on a weekly basis in alignment with the public school term. Payment is deducted on the first day for the following month ahead via credit card or electronic funds transfer. Please ensure funds are available on this day as the schedule time may be suspended or cancelled. Late payments will incur a $10 admin processing fee.
Casual lessons are to be paid for upfront when booking and there is no guarantee the same time will be regularly available.
If an account is overdue by 120 days and there has not been a payment arrangement, a debt collector will be engaged.
lesson cancellation
24 hours notice is required to cancel the lesson. Any lesson cancelled within the 24 hours window will be charged in full.
If the lesson has already been billed the cancellation of greater than 24 hours will receive a make-up credit. If the notice is greater than the billing cycle the lesson will not be included in the debited amount at the beginning of the month.
If in the event the teacher absence or cancellation, a substitue teacher will be arranged, if this is not possible the lesson the lesson fees will be issued as a make-up credit and if requested fully refundable.
To maintain health and wellbeing, if the student is unwell and unable to attend please contact the teacher as soon as possible to arrange another time or alternative arrangement. The above cancellation policiy applies any flexibility is up to the discretion of the teacher.

Make-up credits are subject to available lesson times. These will be held in your account and can be booked through the students login in the portal.
online lesson complication
Technology can sometimes be unpredictable it is the responsibility of the student to ensure that the connection for the lesson is stable. If all attempts have been made to join the online lesson with no success, contact your teacher via phone or email to arrange an alternative method or time for the lesson.
performance opportunities
Biannually the school hosts an inhouse concert. Students are encouraged to perform at their level. Parents are most welcome to attend to support the student.
Photographs and videos of the children are not to be taken unless permission has been granted by the parent or gardian.
Occasionally the students will have the opportunity to perform in showcases, festivals, and nursing homes etc. These are not obligatory however do create an experience that they will learn many skills and create valuable memories with other performers and community groups.
